Global Transition

Does globalization benefits us

         During the old days, life is much relax, where development of nations staggered to improve life. but since the impact of technology, it has definitely change the way we work and think, Every nation wants to race against each other and be the front line in technology, marketing products worldwide, and targeting markets to gain more profits of billions of dollars.

The impact of global transition has change our thoughts.

          It is  heart breaking to notice deterioration of moral values in most part of the world.The global impact hits the East and West, It is good in terms of educational value, industrial and technological improvement in our life, and in fact increase living standards and economic development. The fast pace of technology brought to the increase use of the Web, social media, etc.. The benefits are tremendously great. this is the real challenge facing our society, and obviously place a burden to parents.

         The impact change the way we work, think and the best part of it, information, ideas, games, just name it, is at our fingers, by clicking a mouse and Google some keywords.
Our children become super heroes in on line games, screwed to his chair, with audios and sound blaster blazing in his conquest to win against his rival: somebody he doesn't know at the other side of the world. some youth busy chatting online, some clicking face book, twitter etc...bla, blah..
there are more activities that made our youth wired to the net.

What is it that change Us?

         Interactivity and easy access has made surfing interesting and fun.Thinking back in the 60's where Olivetti typewriter is an excellent office tool,  using carbon copies to print invoices, wired telephone, we do send letters to the mail box, but all these are now obsolete. These tools are put to rest at the scrap yard and benefits the karang guni man to monetize the global clearance of discarded items! We are in an Era of wireless zone with out boundaries, connecting the world  with a super fast optical fiber. Wow! let's scramble at high gear! broom

*ps; last time to connect to the net it makes tit tit sound, I think there's a mouse inside. now inside is INTEL. better RAM 4 G - 8 G, let's play more games..

So what do you think, is the best way out to control our youth?

         We are living in a Free culture, and  freedom of choice prevail. The youth follow what is in the society just like a blind man , cause every body is doing it, and as a young man the world is yours, who cares..Smoking, drugs, glue sniffing, self mutilation, free life, suicide, enjoy, music, parties.. the line goes on..

          The world do not offer  solution for the youth but more vanity, more music, more parties..I am concern that the free life may hurt our youth, to the wrong step in life, and his life becomes a vicious cycle of miseries, but on the long run may jeopardize development of a nation.

Look at what's happening around us;
Let' open up this topic by looking at statistics and research of what actually is happening out there.
           Methods of research: Numbers and rates of induced abortions were estimated from four sources: official statistics or other national data on legal abortions in 57 countries; estimates based on population surveys for two countries without official statistics; special studies for 10 countries where abortion is highly restricted; and worldwide and regional estimates of unsafe abortion from the World Health Organization.

         The Results: Approximately 26 million legal and 20 million illegal abortions were performed worldwide in 1995, resulting in a worldwide abortion rate of 35 per 1,000 women aged 15–44. Among the subregions of the world, Eastern Europe had the highest abortion rate (90 per 1,000) and Western Europe the lowest rate (11 per 1,000). Among countries where abortion is legal without restriction as to reason, the highest abortion rate, 83 per 1,000, was reported for Vietnam and the lowest, seven per 1,000, for Belgium and the Netherlands. Abortion rates are no lower overall in areas where abortion is generally restricted by law (and where many abortions are performed under unsafe conditions) than in areas where abortion is legally permitted. 1

 *take note: 26 million legal and 20 million illegal abortions were performed worldwide in 1995

          This is murder! The high volume of destruction may freeze a nation development, because the next generation need these youths to lead the nation.

There should be some means of control, The strength starts within a person;
  • life approach; attitude
  • motivation from friends and families
  • government strategies to curb unhealthy activites
  • opportunities for youth to play a role in leading his society
  • more talks and insight for youth to visualize problem related habits
  • leadership programmes
  • life skills education
  • short courses
